Cutthroat Trout

This Trout was one of my first attempts at using this particular style of mosaic. Picassiette, which means “stolen from plate”, and uses broken plates, pottery and china. It has become a favorite style for me; I enjoy working with all the different textures and colors which make the subject jump right off the board. It’s easy to imagine this guy swimming in a river out west.
